Description

The King has just received three letters written by William: one was brought by Captain Thompson of the [HMS] America; the second by Captain [Edward] Thompson of the [HMS] Hyaena; and the third by Captain McBride. The King is very pleased to know that William's conduct has met with the approbation of the Admiral [Robert Digby]. He would be happy to see William if, at his return to Spithead Rear, the Admiral will consider it proper.
