Description

The Princess reports that Mrs Clayton's steward [identified as Lord Sunderland by a postscript note by Mrs Clayton] is negotiating with a clergyman [identified as Bishop Atterbury by a postscript note by Mrs Clayton] 'who manages the affairs of him who pretends to the succession of your husband in his father's estate', and that the 'suit' is due to begin on 'the first day of the term'. She recommends that Mrs Clayton inform the Master of the Rolls of this.
