Description

Emett' had previously done the operation for the youngest Princesses.\r\nPrincess Amelia appeared to be starting a fever, and complained of headache and back pain: 'these animals have propos'd a flannel shift to make her sweat upon which I dismissd [sic] them'. The Princess of Wales asks Mrs Clayton to inform 'your freind' [sic] [presumably Dr Freind] of her daughter's condition: 'I don't find her in immediate danger but I am very much afraid of the consequence'.
