Description

The Princess of Wales has written to 'the Lady' [Mrs Clayton identifies her as Lady Portland] that she expects a blister to be applied immediately. \r\nPrincess Amelia [unnamed, but presumed to be her] has less fever, but has a closed hand, difficulty in swallowing, a 'cruel thirst', headache, '& a heat all over with the pain in her head as if all her veins would burst', and 'allways [sic] slumbring [sic] in the midst of her discourse'. It is also felt that she may have an obstruction in her liver.
