I have this instant seen Hawkins who came to give me an account of the letter He had wrote to Mrs Chevely wherein He advises to give poor little Alfred all sorts of exercise preferable to that of being carried in Arms. It occurred to me that besides that of being drawn in a little Chaise the going on Horse back would be very efficacious to him'; on William's accident: 'by the Surjeons account from New York there is reason to hope of his recovering some use of his Arm'; on Lady Louise Clayton.
