My Dear Prince of Wales. Since I saw the Chancellor & conversed with You, I have considerd the painful Subject over with great Attention & find the Situation with regard to myself so very delicate, that I am doubtful of my own Powers of acting in such distressing Circumstances, & still am of Opinion the Chancellor might do better than myself. I wish therefore that You would be so kind as to desire Him to reconsider it, & let me have both Yours & the Chancellors Opinion upon Paper. by doing this You will greatly oblige' Signed and dated at Kew
