Letter from Queen Charlotte to George, Prince of Wales
Date Created
24 September 1796
Creator
Charlotte, Queen Consort to George III
Description
Concerning a Ball at Frogmore on 29th: 'after due Consideration I have settled ['I have settled' crossed out] find it more Civil to invite the Princess of Wales upon the Occasion. I thought it right to inform You of it before she knows it, which shall not be till Munday as that will give Her Time to prepare Her Dress. This is I hope a proof of my never taking any Step about what regards Your Family without informing You of it first.' Signed
