Spain is bounded on ye. N. by ye. Bay of Biscay & ye. Pyrenean Mountains; on ye. E. & on ye. S. by ye. Mediterranean; & on ye. W. by Portugal & ye. Atlantick Ocean. It extends from ye. 36th. to ye. 44th. Deg. of N. lat. & from ye. 8th. to ye. 21st. Deg. of Long. The [[unclear]] in Spain is dry, heat, & healthy, except in Galicia & Cataibria, which are damp; it is extrem'ly cold in ye. winter on ye. mountains, but in ye. valleys [[deletion]] it is [[/deletion]] so temparate, yt. fires are necessary but 3. months in ye. year. Spain is a very mountainous Country, very well water'd, for it is said to have 150. Rivers, of which there are but 6. worthy of notice, viz. 1. ye. Minho, 2. ye. Douro, 3. ye. Tagus, 40 ye. It is divided into 14 Prov. viz. 1. Gallicia, 2. Asturia, 3. Biscay, 4. Navarre, 5. Aragon, & 6. Catalonia in ye. N. 7. Valencia, & 8. Murcia, in ye. E. 9. Grenada, & 10. Andalusia in ye. S. 11. Estremadura, & 12. Leon. in ye. W. 13. Old, & 14 New Castille in ye. Middlee. Madrid ye. Capital of this Km. is in ye. pro. of New Castille. Ye. Principal Islands belonging to Spain are ye.
