[[underline]] Gout Cordial [[/underline]] Tincture for the Gout / or any complaint in the Stomach, - Infuse in a Gallon of the best Coniac Brandy, one Pound of Raisons cut [[underline]] small, [[/underline]] a quarter of a Pound of the best Tinday Rhubarb sliced [[underline]] thin, [[/underline]] one ounce of Senna, Coriander, Fennel seeds, and Cochineal [[underline]] each [[/underline]] half an ounce, Saffron and [[underline]] stick [[/underline]] Liquorice a quarter of an ounce each, a nutmeg grated and half an ounce of the Rhinde of Seville Oranges, put it a warm place shake it twice every Day for three Weeks, then Bottle it for one, - half the quantity of Brandy may be put on the Drugs and after standing [[underline]] some [[/underline]] time Drawn off as the [[underline]] first [[/underline]] - When any pain in the stomach, take a Wine glass full in as much warm water, and if not remov'd in an [[underline]] Hour [[/underline]], take a second, - If the Cordial is to Counteract the effects of laudanum, take half a Wine glass full in as much ^ [[addition]] warm [[/addition]] Water [[underline]] half [[/underline]] an Hour [[underline]] Before [[/underline]] taking the Laudanum and a Wine Glass full the night following - N,,B. the Cordial must be filterd through a Paper Before it is Bottled. -
