I will not begin by thanking You for Your Letter, but by Congratulating You upon an Event in which You have Contributed every thing in Your power to make it easy, & to make all Parties happy. I hope this Day will Confirm Your Brothers happiness & that You may long very long live to be a Witness to it is my most ardent Wish. Our happiness of the Day is not Complete owing to Your Absence, particularly as You are prevented by indisposition, & yet I feel. some satisfaction in knowing that You take care of Yourself, as in this Age it is rare thing [[underline]] to meet with Prudent Beaux [[/underline]]. I think I have given You a Strong proof of my disinterestedness, & I deserve some Credit for it, as I confess the addition of Your Company on this Day would have been a great Agrement to Us.
