the 30th [[unclear]] 1890 My dearest Augustus. I will not let pass another Post Day without writing [[deletion]] [[unclear]] [[/deletion]] as we are now in possession of the Address to Convey our Letters safely. it did not arrive till Fryday or I should have wrote sooner. Your Letters of the 10th & 16th arrived at the same time & I am sorry to find that the last Letter did not give so good an account of You. but I hope & flatter myself that Your recovery will be by degrees & by that means insure us a lasting Health. for Considering what You have gone through for two Month before the Journey was begun we must not expect to recover so much lost Strength at once. & I hope & wish to be a True Prophet. The variety of Countries You must pass through cannot but afford a pleasing Amusement particularly to an Observing mind, the Characters of the People may even be traced out of doors & if to that one can aid the intercourse with the Inhabitants
