If I had not a very good Conscience how to answer Yr Letter would have puzzled me indeed, but as I have nothing to reproach myself with & You choose to accuse I must demand an Explanation For it is clear that when a Person keeps Silent upon very Subject as I do & have done. I cannot plead guilty. I am very much Obliged to You for having Named Miss Bruhl Maid of Honour I trust & hope She will be deserving of Yr Favour. I return immediately to Kew & beg. that in case You mean to write again not to send the letter to Kew. For I shall be in Town early to Morrow Morning. I am my dearest Son.
