I desired Elyza to write You a Note my dearest Son very late on Sunday Night & which I hope You have received by this Time as well as my Letter. On Sunday before Diner I had a Conversation with the Kg relative to the Governess & I find that when Ldy Archibald left the Princesses Family, the Princes & Princesses remained ever Since without a Governess. that being the Case I wished very much to propose to You, to write me a Letter in which You will Commission me to ask the Kg whether [[deletion]] th [[/deletion]] or Not, there is an Absolute Necessity for You to Name a Governess upon this Occasion, This must bring it to a determination in the only possible way to avoid making mistakes about the Kgs meaning. You will of Course be so kind as to write Nothing else as I must shew the Letter & Not mention my having given You this advice. I have succeeded in having Secured one of the Berçeuses
