That Dr Underwood & Yr Surgeon should see Mrs Smith & Tell Her, that if she is brought to Bed in Time & well & found fit for the Purpose You will engage Her Particularly as the Younger Milk is always the best, but at the same Time, both the other ladys should be seen & the one which is the most proper be told to keep Herself in readiness, in case the one latest brought to Bed should not answer. This is exactly what I did when the Duke of York was born, & Mrs Griffiths was well enough to come on the 3d week of Her [[deletion]] [[unclear]] [[/deletion]] Month. Having now done with the Nurses, I take the Liberty of giving a Hint about the Childbed Linnen, the Time draws near, & it takes a great deal of trouble to make such a quantity in a short Time.
