& think it worth inquiring after Her, before You return would it not be better to let Ldy Dashwood make acquaintance with Her, & to report Her oppinion concerning her & as the Colonel will remain with Us here at Windsor till Munday, when he joins His Regiment Until the Kgs birth Day, should You think it right for me to say any thing upon the Subject to Him I am ready to [[unclear]] as I believe it is the Poor Colonel, & not the Rich Grl who has been Her Protector & therefore no fears of the Lutterels coming into the House. The Kg to whom I mentioned it seems pleased of my having named Her, & did bid me Himself send off the Mefsanger. I hope My zeal will plead my excuse & that You will be Sensible, You need not take Her if You do not like Her.
