Sir. I have this instant been made very happy with Your very Affectionnate & kind Letter, for which I want words to Express both my joy & happiness, but I can say with great Truth that tho my Pen cannot express my feeling my Heart [[deletion]] most [[/deletion]] does most deeply feel Yr kind expressions about me & if shall ever be my most earnest endeavour as well as my Inclination to merit the confirmation of Your good oppinion. We have been lamenting ever since Your departure the Obstinacy of the Wind, & tho laughed at, it was any oppinion that You could see Nothing even to Day the Disappointment to poor Admiral Duncan will be of course inexpressible & I pity him much upon the occasion, but I will own that my thoughts were about You least this very Cold Wind might prove hurtfull to You, but as Your Majesty does not mention Your Health
