the Queen to the Prince Regent 8th. Feb 1811 My dearest Son. The News which your letter conveyed to me, are so entirely Correspondent with my own Feelings, that it is quite Impossible for me not to rejoice in the Steps You have taken, in not going Personally to the House of Lords. As to the Situtation in which You are placed, arising from so Melancholy a Circumstance, I am sure that Your own feelings are such as do Honour to Your Heart, & I quite agree with You my dearest Son, that neither Splendour nor State can accord with Your Sentiments in any way particularly on this occasion. I return You thanks for the Attention of Your Letter, & believe me, that no Body can feel it more strongly than My dearest Son Your ever Affectionnate Mother & Friend. Charlotte Windsor the 8th/ Febry. 1811
