My dearest Son. I have this Morning sent my answer to the Council agreing to Dr J.W. giving His assistance to His Brother, & I hope that You will approve of it [[deletion]] [[unclear]] [[/deletion]] when You need it. I allow it to be long, but in the predicament I stand with our dear Invalid on account of the Promise never to let J.W. reenter the House to attend Him, it was necessary to recapitulate strongly to the Council the Hard task I am put to by them & now [[underline]] Cutting it is to my feelings to do that. which if the King recovers may perhaps [[/underline]] forever make me forfeit His good oppinion.
