the Queen to the Prince Regent 9th. April 1814 My dearest Son. Being a little more Sober this Morning with joy I feel capable of returning You thanks for the great News You sent Us last Night, may I soon be enabled to Congratulate You upon the Parisians having declared for the Bourbons for I look upon that Even as the greatest Recompense England can Obtain for its Honourable, Steady & invariable Upright Conduct,& I most Sincerely partake of Your Pleasure upon this Occasion for as it has pleased Providence to deprive the King of the Happinefs He would have experienced now, that it is fallen to Your Share to have followed up his exertions & to see them Blest.
