Copy of the Dowager lady Ilchesters letter to the Queen [[unclear]] lodge Novr. 21d. 1814 Madam On my return from [[unclea]] this morning, I found a parcel directed for me containing some Manuscript Music accompanied by the enclosed Note from Lady Jersey, I lose no time in transmitting it to you Majesty, hoping speedily to learn the Regents pleasure how far His Royal Highness, permits such intercourse with Lady Jersey, till when, I can neither answer the Note or enquiry concerning the Parcel left at Carlton House or give the Music, I feel it to be a matter of some consequence, that this Note should be properly and quickly acknowledged, as the intention of it no doubt is to make the trial, how far Princess Charlotte is restrained from communicating with her former friends. Should it be His Royal Majesty's pleasure that Princess Charlotte receive the Music, and the Parcel [[underline]] left at [[/underline]] Carlton House, may I there by to have Lady Jerseys note returned to me, the I may show it to Her Royal Highness with the Music, which is sent quite open, to inspection, and consents of [[catchword]] Walker and [[/catchword]]
