My dearest Charlotte. The Prince being very busy and having many people to see and besides that not being quite well desires to inform you that He has received your Letter in which you request permission to prolong your stay at Weymouth untill the end of this month. Dr. Bailey as well as Mr. Vicate were of this opinion about ten days ago, which makes it a very pleasant Circumstance for the Prince, not only to great your request, but by granting it also to Various that He follows the advice of those who have the care of your health. A longer Stay, I fancy you would find very irksome and dull as the season for Bathing is past, and the days too short for continuing those excursions of which you speak with so much pleasure. The uncertainty of the weather will also prevent sailing much longer so that the Dorsetshire Amusements must of course cease very soon. I suppose then that we may look out for your return at Cranbourue by the 30th which is the very last, when you will be received [[foreign: French]] à bras ouvertes [[/foreign]] by the Sisterhood and not less so by My dearest Charlotte your ever affectionate Grandmother and Friend (signed) Charlotte Windsor the 12.
