indeed that one of the Merklenboury Family should be the Cause of so much Mischief - I have desired Lord Liverpool to be the bearer of this Letter as the talking over this Subject with You would almost break my Heart, but I feel I am right, and my Duty to You & my Brothers Family must always guide my Conduct I pray You most earnestly to write again to the duke of Cumberland [[underland]] and prefs Him not to think [[/underlined]] of bringing Her with Him as the only means of Insuring You Comfort in which [[deletion]] is [[/deletion]] [[addition]] must be [[/addition]] Included that of My dearest Son Your affectionnate Mother and most Sincere Friend Charlotte Windsor the 27th/ May 1815.
