My dearest Son. I received Grl Bloomfields Letter at Eight a Clock this Morning & at Eleven little Carr Damer came to the Queens House, when dear Augusta was (as more used to take openly with Her) [[deletion]] [[unclear]] [[/deletion]] Deputed to Inform Her of Yr wishes about Her House. She seemed Flattered at the Manner in which it was proposed to Her, but declined it immediately as She was Partial to the House having been the Habitation of her Parents & having lived there ever since Her Birth & Her Expression was. [[underline]] I am there as Snug as a Button [[/underline]] I am sorry not to have Succeeded, but fear that upon Enquiry You will find
