My dearest Son. I take up My Pen to execute as soon as pofsible the request of Yr Sister the Queen of Wivtemberg to make Her excuses for not Notifying Herself the Death of the Kg which happened on the 30th/ of last Month to You - You will of Course by this time have received this intelligence before my Letter reaches You but I wrote the Moment I had read Mine - Her own letter is most reasonably exprefsed stating that She must ever Lament the lofs of so kind a Husband. As I am once a writing I think it will some time to represent that we must Morn parents Mourning in Bombazin & it must last three Months. All the Pleasure I had promised Myself
