Concerning Mrs Hesse: 'I have lookd & find that the Promise was not made to the now living Sister of Mrs Chetwin, but to Her that is Dead. That being the Case she can surely not be in the way of any Body, but the King from the beginning of my coming to England having desired me to keep every Place in my Family, as near to the Rank in which I found it, must of Course preclude the Person in question'; brief reference to the weather Signed and dated at Kew
